This past year - summer 2007 to summer 2008 - Partnership members have undergone training regarding:
The Regeneration Partnership has purchased several books concerning many areas of information relevant to volunteers and community groups. Partnership members and members of community groups in Easington Colliery and Horden are welcome to borrow these publications. Click here for list of publications. Volunteers awarded funding Horden and Easington Colliery Regeneration Partnerships have awarded local community groups funding for training which will build the skills of their volunteers. Horden Regeneration Partnership awarded Cotsford Junior School's new parents group funding for a first aid course and has allocated future funding to Horden Colliery Residents Association volunteers to learn about their new ICT equipment. Easington Colliery Regeneration Partnership awarded money to a White Lea Farm/National Trust volunteer to take a tractor driving course, to the Church of Ascension's youth project and to Easington Social Welfare Centre to send one of its volunteers on a tower training course. £719 has been awarded with £1,700 available from June 2008.
